I know it's only Wednesday, but let's talk about this weekend. What is your plan? I (ambitious, You could say) plans to complete all of my holiday shopping by Friday and spend the whole weekend in the House. There is snow in the forecast of who will make it even less desirable for me to leave the House. In addition, I will do anything to avoid crowded places in stores. They make me feel so crowded!

I plan to make a big bowl of ginger popcorn (oh my word!! best!!!!), slow rice cooker hot chocolate krispies treats this Peppermint Christmas, watch movies and play games. There is nothing more, nothing less.

Peppermint Rice Krispies treat-treat your favorite get makeover vacations! Soft and chewy rice krispies topped with white chocolate and crushed peppermint candy. Perfect for munching while watching Christmas movies!

Materials

• 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
• 1 12 oz. Package miniature marshmallows
• 2 drops peppermint extract
• 6 cups rice krispies cereal
• 1 cup white chocolate chips
• 6-8 peppermint candy crushed

Instructions

1. Line 13  "by 9 's" pan with aluminum foil or parchment paper. Set aside.
2. Butter a large bowl. Place cereal in a bowl.
3. In a medium saucepan, melt the butter.
4. Add marshmallows and Cook, stirring often until almost melted.
5. Remove from heat, add the extract and stir until all melted marshmallows.
6. Pour over cereal mixture. Stir until coated.
7. Press cereal mixture into prepared pan. Gently Flatten the top.
8. Cool down completely.
9. Place the chocolate in a heatproof Bowl and melt in the microwave.
10. Stir until smooth.
11. Spread over rice krispies treats.
12. Sprinkle crushed peppermint candies over chocolates.
13. Let stand until chocolate is set.
14. Cut into bars and serve.
15. Keep in an airtight container up to 1 week.
