My circle of relatives loves potatoes and my scalloped potatoes have been asked lots of times at the circle of relatives dinner desk but this time, I desired to try some thing else, plus it gave me a motive to dirt off some of the cookbooks i've shoveled at the back of my office’s bookcase.

INGREDIENTS:
- 2 tablespoons butter, room temperature
- 6-7 small potatoes, scrubbed clean
- half of cup whole milk
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons all cause flour
- 3-5 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- pepper
- 1+1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar (I used white cheddar)
- clean chives, thinly sliced
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Preheat the oven to four hundred degrees F. Butter a shallow baking dish and set apart.
- cube the potatoes. place them inside the buttered dish. combine the milk and cream in a bowl. upload the flour, garlic, salt and pepper and whisk. Pour over potatoes.
- cowl with foil and bake for 30 minutes. cast off the foil and and bake for some other 20-30 minutes. just before serving, sprinkle with cheese and bake for any other 3-five mins or till cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Sprinkle at the chives and serve immediately.
