Am I a revolt or what? It’s the second one week of January and that i made cookies. at the same time as every person else is sharing inexperienced smoothies and Whole30 dinners, I’m over right here shoving 4 types of chocolate chips into cookies.

yes, January is all approximately making healthy selections, but, we’ve got to stay a little too, right? My kiddos just headed lower back to high school after wreck, and i came about to have a pantry full of odds and ends from my holiday baking … so Kitchen Sink Cookies it is!

KITCHEN SINK COOKIES

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened slightly
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar (I prefer dark) packed
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 2 cups mix-ins see note

INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Line  baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone liners.
  2. In a small bowl combine flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a huge bowl, the usage of a hand mixer or stand mixer, beat butter and both sugars for 2 minutes, scraping the bowl as wanted.  upload egg and vanilla and beat until mixed.
  4. Slowly upload the flour combination, beating till just combined. the use of a wooden spoon or rubber spatula, stir in all however 1/three cup of mix-ins.
